A small, hometown restaurant,but don't expect Mayberry just because it's North Carolina. Food is good and simple. Cooked to order. Biscuits aren't homemade (pre-made frozen) but decent. Tea tasted from concentrate.

Checked out this spot for lunch today with my Mom. Definitely a country kitchen type place which we like with good prices. Servings were not huge which is good for me since I'm watching what I eat. Food was pretty good, hot and country cooking. I got the turkey which came with stuffing/gravy and 2 sides which I chose collard greens and butter beans. Collards was good butter beans were a little hard could have cooked longer and not much seasoning, salt/pepper fixed it tho I denied bread. My Mom got the cabbage roll which came with sauerkraut and she got mashed potatoes and gravy, butter

I ordered the Sunrise. The biscuit had an incredible balance of crunch around the outside and warm fluffiness in the middle. I loved it! Bacon could have been a little more “limp” lol idk how to explain it, but it was still good. I wasn’t a huge fan of the syrup only because it seemed a bit runny. The pancake however was delicious! We had bottled sodas which I liked and cups of ice.
