I’ve always made it a point to support Black-owned businesses, especially in the South Bronx, which is why this experience with Sade's Southern Cafe was so disappointing. For context, I placed a catering order for an event and paid $45 for delivery, with a scheduled arrival time of 4:00 PM since my event began at 5:00 PM. Our organization has ordered from here before because the food is genuinely good, so I felt confident going into this. Unfortunately, the service I received last week was extremely disheartening. I ordered from this place on the 3rd. I ordered Baked chicken with white rice and Mac and cheese. It all costed $23.52. It was the bomb.com. The chicken was juicy and falling off the bone. The Mac and cheese was not too salty or bland, it was just the way I like it. The rice was not as pleasing to me as everything else. It was dry. They gave me a side of cornbread and it was amazing. I also tried their catfish, candied yams and turkey wings a day or two ago and that was okay. I’m not ordering the yams again. Not good. The turkey was too salty. I really loved the catfish. Food was disguting ! Arrived with missing Mac and cheese i wasted 40$ on this place . When i called about the Mac and cheese missing they suggested i order it again like huh??? Please listen to the reviews . My chicken was burnt ! Cake hard and nasty ! Just disgusting !!!

UPDATE: 9 months later and I went back for the same dish I had. I was so disappointed. It wasn't the same quality of food and the Mac wasn't as cheesy as last time. They had just opened and the food was cold. The chicken was so amazing last time but this time, there was no flavor on it. The worst part was having to constantly pick out feathers. I'm sure it was probably an off day so I'd consider going back just to give it a final chance. I was just so underwhelmed this time around. Original Review: This place really shocked me.
