I just now had to walk out of this place. The customer service and work ethics here is an abomination. Filled with mostly young workers, their customer service leaves much to desire. I ordered the $9.99 combo meal, which was 1 meat+2 veggies and bread. The young girl who was serving me, started out with a whole attitude for no reason and when I asked her about the combo deal for clarification, because she kept asking me what other meat option do I want. The ladies at Fried Green Tomatoes have created a place to get great southern cuisine that tastes just like grandma used to make. Pros: The food and customer service are great! I couldn’t find anything on the menu I didn’t enjoy. Service was always with a smile and joyful in every way. While the restaurant itself is a little dated (patina is what I call it), it also felt like what a small family restaurant should feel like… welcoming and comfortable. I rarely give reviews…. I guess ownership has changed. I asked for collards to go, I was asked if I wanted full or half pan. I was shown a fairly small pan and told $12.99, I agreed and after I was rung up and about to pay the owners daughter made a call to make sure cost was correct. I was then told $40!!!!! I’ve bought this pan in the past for about $14.00. I then just asked for 2 side orders instead (very skimpy compared to past owners) doesn’t even look like a full side order, it bothered me so I called the centerville store and asked the cost of the pan I was shown, she said $12.99 but le
