I stopped down here the other day after reading about the place on some reddits for having good cheesesteaks. Boy was I not disappointed. This is easily one of the best cheesesteaks CT has to offer and I have tried many. The fries were hot and crispy, the onions were not overbearing chopped up nicely, the meat was seasoned beautifully and everything was made fresh and hot. No bad bits or chewy bits in the steak and great flavor. Staff was super friendly, place was clean. As soon as someone gets up they clean it. Very affordable. Really nothing to gripe about. I’ve driven past Philly Grill in Waterbury many times and kind of second-guessed it, but it really surprised me. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with fries and it was amazing—full of flavor, fresh ingredients, and the fries were perfectly cooked. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and my food was brought right to my table. Great service and even better food. Definitely coming back! Update: I had to come back after how good my first visit was. This time I ordered the lamb and beef gyro with fries and it was absolutely delicious. The lamb and beef were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right

Philly has turned into our FAV spot to order out from! Good lord this food is good and every time we order we try something different. To this day, we haven’t found anything that we dislike. My stomach is happy but my bank account wants me to start hitting my friends with ‘public benefit fees’ a la Eversource to subsidize my spending habits here!
