"Best hot dog ever!," per 89-year-old Mom... I took my folks to Shake Pit a couple Saturdays ago - we were all hankerin' for a good hot dog. And GOOD they were indeed! Daddy got his with cheese, mine was with chili and cheese, and Mom just got hers plain. But she sure was impressed with the great care they took on toasting the buns, or whatever they did to them - they were wonderful! And their fries are really good, too. 😋 NOTE: They are a cash-only establishment, but they do have an on-site ATM. I tried to capture the menu for y'all - my apologies for the slight glare...

Stopped in for a shake after a great day at the beach! I had a medium chocolate shake and my wife had a medium strawberry shake. They were very good! So thick and creamy! Friendly service! Clean out door eating area. Clean restrooms. Highly recommended!

Remember when shakes were actually made out of ice-cream? They do at the Shake Pit! Excellent greasy spoon joint with a family atmosphere. Bring cash cuz they don't take cards. A must stop if you're in the area.

Awesome ice cream spot. They have a ton of flavors and mix-in choices, so it’s easy for everyone to find something they like. The ordering process is quick and efficient, and it’s fun to hang out and relax while your ice cream is being made. Even when the line looks long, it moves surprisingly fast, which is impressive for a place that’s clearly very popular. Overall it’s just a cool place to grab ice cream and chill for a bit. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the Bradenton area.
