My partner and I came here for a romantic dinner, looking forward to a nice evening. We made a reservation, but still had to wait a bit, and the initial interaction felt a little unwelcoming. We were eventually seated outside, even though there were tables available inside, and we were the only ones out there. It did feel a bit off, but we decided not to let that affect our night. 9 out of 10 stars for Cafe Centro in West Palm Beach. While my individual meal was mediocre and not particularly impressive, The dishes coming out of the kitchen were well portioned and beautifully presented. I had the bouillabaisse which was in a white base and very tastey but it should have come with a side of capellini with all that glorious broth or more toast for dipping. The food we ordered in this place was terrible. I asked for medium steak and it was flavorless and nearly raw. My wife asked for a shrimp pasta with an oil sauce and it was just a soupy mess with overcooked noodles. She joked saying it was an OK ramen. They don’t have bread service but for $2 dollars they sell you 4 small pieces of toasted bread. The steak was equivalent to a cheap restaurant steak on texture and overall flavor profile with a $47 price tag. There is live music.
