I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant because of the behavior of one of the waitresses. From the moment my family and I entered, she seemed unfriendly and unwelcoming. Her attitude felt very unprofessional, and it gave us the impression that she did not want us there. She treated us in a way that made us feel uncomfortable, almost as if she was judging us. Went for lunch at 1:30 on a weekday so it was pretty empty. Service could not have been better! We had a paper masala dosa (enough for 2 people unless you are very hungry), regular masala dosa, bhel, papad, tadka dal, salty lassi, salty lime soda. Everything was tasty. We’ve had all these dishes elsewhere, so we know what they should taste like. We liked the accompaniments with the dosas. Decor is basic with interesting wall art.

I am sharing this detailed review here because I want the owners of Uru Swati to know what they did - Background: On March 21, 2026 I am sitting in the restaurant, waiting for my order while writing this. I have visited this place many times and like their food, it's genuinely good. Now why the 1 star ? I felt ashamed being an Indian by what I saw. There was exactly one white lady sitting in the restaurant when I had entered and she wasn't being serviced.
