This resturant has its pros & cons, PROS: they put out bread, breadsticks & a yummy garlic dipping oil 9/10, balsamic & ceaser side salads 9/10, wish mine had croutons, we got the hot antipasto as our app, 7/10 the calamari was tender & crispy but very bland, everything else was ok on it, for our entrees, ordered fresh fettuccini alfredo w/ mushrooms, it had a LOT of mushrooms but tasted good enough that parmesan was optional 9/10 & the chicken santina subbed it w/ breaded chicken cutlets was delicious, came with flavorful roasted potatoes & very crunchy vegetables, needed to be steamed longer 9/10. The portions were big enough for 2 to share. CONS: they didn't listen to a request on my hot antipasto, but corrected it, very bland calamari, had to add salt, no coffee or dessert offered & VERY slow service, took 30mins to find our waiter, ask for the check & pay, i dont think valet is necessary on weeknight. It's not bad for a local neighborhood italian resturant.

Yesterday was my first time here with hubby and our 1.5 year old. I thought it was a good restaurant with good/very good food but certainly not somewhere that stands out as something spectacular or amazing. The service was good, the atmosphere was underwhelming. The pizza was the tastiest thing we got (the Sicilian pie, which was enormous!) The pasta was pretty good. The appetizers and salad were just okay. When I requested a mocktail, the server didn't even bother to ask me what kind or what flavors I wanted. And I was served a glass of cranberry juice and orange juice with ice.... 😭

Going anywhere that requires street parking is impossible here in the frozen tundra. So for dinner on Friday night, we went to Osteria Santina, which has valet parking! We got there early and by the time we left both dining room rooms were packed. We started with fried polenta in a Gorgonzola sauce. For main courses, we had the fillet of sole oreganata and the steak pizzaiola with rigatoni. For dessert, limoncello cake and spumoni tartufo. Everything, including the service, was excellent.

Everything tasted fresh and authentic, and you could really tell there was a lot of care put into each dish that came out of the kitchen. Our experience at Osteria Santina far exceeded our already high expectations. We visited last night for a family gathering of 11 people. My husband thought he had made reservations, but it turns out he accidentally made them at a restaurant with a similar name. Osteria was clearly packed and there really wasn’t room to accommodate us, but the manager threw some tables together for us in the bar and saved face for my husband. The service didn’t suffer at all, with attentive care from Jose who kept everyone’s drinks full. The food was excellent, from the starters to the mains. Everyone remarked about how good the wings and calamari were and my husband said the pork chops were the best he’s had at a restaurant. Thank you for a wonderful evening, Osteria! We highly recommend this restaurant.

I want to start off by extending my gratitude towards Walter, who was so friendly, funny, warm, witty, and helped make this dinner as perfect as it was. All the staff were also very friendly and welcoming. The ambiance from once you walk in is very elegant and gives off a high class vibe. We started the meal off with roasted garlic oil that accompanied the bread, which was extremely flavorful, so be careful not to fill up on bread for it's so easy to do so! Then came our chocolate milk, which I know sounds weird in an Italian restaurant, but it was delicious and not overwhelmingly sweet. Then came the pasta Fagioli soup that was very tasty and had a good variety of veggies. Then the only issue arose; the long wait time between our side salad and the main entrees, which was a 35 minute wait. Osteria Santina is a very relaxing place to eat. Pleasant and clean atmosphere. The staff are very nice and helpful. The food is delicious and on point. I would recommend this restaurant to others and already have. They have available rooms to host special events, regular seating for dine in, and bar seating as well. They have parking in front of their restaurant.
