I am a chef, and I am from the East Coast where Hogies come from. This was, one of the-if not THE BEST hogie I’ve ever had. Bread was perfectly toasted and warm- meat cut to a perfect thinness. Crispy lettuce and sprouts with a touch of what I think is some kind of itialian or oregano dressing. Whatever it is- it is PERFECT!!!! I also got the sausage potato soup- tasty and stayed warm for a long time. Honestly everything here is delicious and clearly made from scratch. Can’t recommend this place enough!!

Our son took us to some of his favorite places in Winona, while we were visiting for Easter. This is his favorite coffee shop. He does some of his "remote" work here; he's brought groups here for small meetings; he and his wife visit often for their morning coffee. It's quiet and very comfortable. The brick walls and hardwood floors give it an old-fashioned, cozy feel. Everyone else in our group got some kind of coffee; I had a fruit smoothy, which was delicious. Although I didn't try anything sweet, the cookies and scones looked delicious.

What a gem, what a treat. I love food, and what I love even more is simple good food, and this place NAILS it. My partner had told me about this local to Minnesota and Wisconsin eatery, and I was not ready for what I was in store for. It was a simple meal, I got a turkey sandwich and a soup. The Soup was Beer cheddar. It was creamy and rich, with sauteed carrots that were delicious. The soup was so tasty that I was instantly on the internet, searching for recipes to learn how to make this amazing concoction.
