I really wanted to love Barrel 239. My wife and I went on a Tuesday afternoon (1:30pm), when the bar was almost empty. The environment and decor of the bar is fun and enjoyable. The whiskey selection is very good. The only problem was the service. I ordered the Pitter Patter and my wife ordered the Bob Marley. After a few moments the bartender came back twice to tell my wife that they were out of two of the staple ingredients in her cocktail. When asked her suggestions for substitute ingredients, the bartender had no suggestion for a new brand of bourbon and simpled stated she could "dou
