Debbie Hohn★★★★★Tried Major Biddles for the first time and it did not disappoint. Large place with bar and multiple rooms plus outdoor dining. Greeted by sweet young woman and got seated in a large booth. In the middle of the room was a tasty looking salad bar. Checked out the menu with lots of choices to choose from. I ordered a bowl of French onion soup that husband and I shared, excellent and tasty and they brought us warm bread and butter, yum! For dinner I ordered chicken tenders and steak fries with honey mustard sauce. Chicken was perfectly cooked and very tasty with the dipping sauce, fries were right

While the salad bar deal was a great value that initially sold me, the quality of the cooked food fell short of the appetizing customer photos. The burgers and buns were noticeably dry and a bit hard. We also ordered poutine and fried calamari. The poutine was just acceptable, as it contained too much cheese and not enough gravy for a classic, satisfying dish. The fried calamari was the most interesting item—it was unusually soft on the inside, unlike the typical preparation elsewhere. Ultimately, I kind of wish we tried the steaks.

Voter★★★★★Had a great dinner last night. Not something you can say often in this day and age. We had some beers, fish and chips, ribs and shrimp, and perch piccata. All very nicely cooked, Tasted great. Good portions. Sides, which there are many choices, were awesome, too. The bread can be addictive and can fill you up, easily, before your entrees come so tread lightly. We usually carry out but wanted to dine out for the first time in a minute and it was very enjoyable. The only thing I wish is for them to have some specials now and then.
