I wasn't too much impressed with this place. I'm from Texas and I miss Tex-mex so I stumbled across this place and thought I'd give it a try. The only thing tex-mex about it was their gravy and the fact they use cheddar cheese. The gravy didn't taste like the gravy I'm used to but oh well. The chips and salsa aren't free like usual in Mexican or Tex Mex restaurants. The charge like $3 and some change for hot and mild salsa. Definitely not worth it as the salsa is trash and nasty. Classic!! The deluxe wet burrito was fantastic. Mango margarita was tasty. And the service was good. The wait wasn’t long for 2 people, a little long for larger groups. The flavors were just like I remembered from long ago. I was a little sad they were out of the fried ice cream though.

Today is the 4-year anniversary of my mom's passing. In honor of her, my wife, my dad and I came here for dinner today. Mom often talked about how good this place's wet burritos were. Despite that, I never went there with her :( But I didn't allow that sad fact to overpower me when I went here, I focused on the positive. The interior is so nice and timeless, with nice attention to detail that you don't often see anymore. It has aged like a fine wine. Good burger, great Loaded Wet Burrito. - Cheeseburger - $15: It comes by default well-done which dries it out losing the juicy goodness. The patties cook down a bit smaller, too. The bun was over toasted, but good otherwise. They do not carry pickle (which is fine with me). The lettuce and tomato were fresh and crispy. It could have used a bit more cheese. Very hot.
