It took them three hours to finish serving us even when we always finished our dishes very quickly, since there were long wait times in between. The portions were too small. We appreciate the staff's effort but the service was presumptuous and rigid in a few aspects. Fyi, there's only one set menu. Not vegetarian or vegan friendly at all.

Had an unforgettable chefs experience dinner at The Monkey Gallery Dining hosted by Flora and the crew. The menu was 11 courses with 2-3 additional surprises and every single course was delicious. My highlights were the broccolini with honey, tiger prawn, squid, rabbit and mushroom, both entrees being the Salmon and Lamb, and finally the Thai basil ice cream with cashew. The menu flowed wonderfully and it really was a fun experience all around, I will be back to try what Chef has to offer next time!

Amazing experience at Monkey Gallery. The atmosphere is stylish and relaxed, and you can really feel the attention to quality and detail in every part of the restaurant. The highlight for me was the Rabbit Morel. The rabbit was incredibly tender and perfectly cooked, paired with rich, earthy morels that gave the dish a deep, elegant flavor. Beautifully balanced and absolutely delicious. Definitely a place worth visiting if you appreciate refined, well-executed food.

To start, I want to say that the atmosphere was wonderful and the service for the most part was very good. There were a couple of minor misses on the service (e.g. bathroom lacking hand towels and service disappearing at the end of the dinner), but I would still give it 4.5 or 5 stars for trying to have that elevated experience. Where my rating lies is with the food, and unfortunately, I feel the Chi Mo Rua menu does not hit, especially at this price point. I've tried numerous Michelin star restaurants, and here's where I'd critique: - The amuse bouche were very good. They were flavourful and I enjoyed them. Good start. - It's really the next set of dishes that drag things down. There was a sinking feeling amongst 4 out of the next 5 dishes that everything was blanketed in sauce or cream. The food started to lose its vibrancy and the sauce became the dish. - The palate cleanser was the seaweed -- ok, I get it -- but it's not elevated or differentiating. Beautiful degustation menu with extensive selection of wines.We had matching wine pairings with our menu. Every course had distinct flavours showcasing memories of the chef’s childhood in Vietnam. Staff was kind and hospitable with great knowledge of products and food. We dined at the chef’s table observing plating and cooking of each course making it more immersive and sensory experience. We received a wonderful gift of loose tea which was delightful. Highly recommended as a chef and an admirer of fine dining.
