The food was lovely, veey hearty with plenty of vegetarian options. For me, the standout dish was the sorrel salad which was so flavoursome. Khachapuris are genously portioned. Service was polite and correct. We were in one of the smaller rooms but could still enjoy the live music from the main room. Would gladly eat here again.

Towards the end of the meal, we felt a clear pressure to finish and leave, even though there was still plenty of time before closing and our table was not needed for other guests. We were not asked if we wanted dessert, coffee or anything else. Instead, the service felt rushed and intrusive, which took away from what should have been a relaxed dinner. After reading other reviews, it seems we were not the only ones to have this impression. Another guest mentioned feeling disturbed by the way plates were taken away quickly and described the service as aggressive. Sadly, our experience was very similar. It is a shame, because the restaurant has potential and the food itself was enjoyable, but the overall experience is not just about the food. Service and atmosphere matter too.

Unfortunately, it was below my expectations, unlike all the good reviews. A reservation was required, and the earliest booking they gave us was after two days. The food quality was average, and the service was not good. The dishes did not arrive together, with long gaps between main courses. Basically, it took almost 2 hours for the food to be served, which took up a large part of our day.

Upon arriving at the entrance, we were greeted by a kind gentleman named Artyom. This young man spoke excellent English, and he politely walked us to our table. Great start! This was our first time trying Javakhq and it was delicious! Meat was tender and well seasoned. Our pork tenderloin was a bit average as it lacked flavor. The pork roast with vegetables was 80% potatoes. The small pieces of meat were tough and difficult to cut. Service was professional and attentive.

The food tastes good, but is generally a bit salty. One thing the service can improve is: stop taking away people’s plates so fast, and ask before you want to take it away! We haven’t finished eating yet, and it puts pressure when we want to slowly enjoy the food! This isn’t a good service that deserve 10% service fee.
