Supposedly the best cafe in Darwin. Pretty crowded on a weekday lunch. Decent pastrami sandwich and full breakfast works. Kids menu available too. Coffee is great! They serve Zest Coffee from Melbourne so the beans are awesome.

Really disappointed. We walked in on Saturday morning. The shop was fully occupied yet there were vacant seats. Staff came up four times within just ten minutes asking if we were ready to order, which made us feel quite pressured. We ordered French toast. As a big matcha lover, I had high expectations for the dish. Surprisingly, the French toast served to us was burnt. Didn’t anyone check the food before bringing it out? The matcha French toast cost $28.6. It is definitely not cheap. That’s all I can say

Very packed on a Friday morning compared to the other cafés and bakeries around. We ordered an eggs benny, a toastie, and two coffees. Interestingly, the eggs benny came out before the coffee, which isn’t usually the case elsewhere. It was served with smoked salmon and spinach on sourdough. The portion was just right for one, so we ended up ordering another toastie to share from the takeaway menu. Taste-wise, the eggs benny was average, and the ham and cheese toastie was pretty standard as well. Coffee was fine, nothing standout. Do note there’s a credit card surcharge, so I opted to pay cas

Laneway is 110% my new breakfast / brunch go-to. The atmosphere was pinterest-worthy and cozy, and the service was SO amazing. My mother decided last minute to change her drink, and our server was extremely helpful and handled the change SO well. The other staff seemed to genuinely love their job, and their demeanours certainly brought the place to life. The food came out relatively fast, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the avocado on toast with a poached egg and bacon on the side with no green herb salad and they made sure to read out the order to ensure no mistakes were made. The egg wa
