I found the food here to be very very solid, but nothing mind blowing. They executed the schnitzel to perfection, really. Just wish there was a little bit more to it? Maybe I am missing something. I think you won't go wrong here, and I love the organic atmosphere and the fact that it isn't driven towards tourists. Nice folks too.

One of my favorite schnitzel joint in Vienna. Not only you get a true and authentic Austrian cuisine in all its glory, but you can also dive into one of the best schnitzels in town. The traditional potato salad is also a must-eat, don't forget. Even though the place is a bit far from downtown and outside the regular tourist attractions, you should still look over on the map and make your way here. Asap.

Easily one of the best meals I’ve had in Vienna. We ordered the platter and another portion of schnitzel for 4 people. The meal was so good and satisfying. I’m certain that the taste hits home. It felt like I was eating at home. It was very fresh. We wanted to order the Kaiserschmarrn (pancake) but the staff informed us that it wasn’t available before 15:00 the day we visited. However, we checked back to the staff and they kindly accepted our Kaiserschmarrn order around 14:30 and got our dessert in no time. Service was great, the staff were friendly. The food was good, very traditional like and plenty. The 2 pieces portion of schnitzel is not for one person :) The strudel with vanilla sauce was awesome. The downside is that they don't accept payment by card and they don't let you know in advance. There are several ATMs in the area, one right around the corner (on the left) which is the closest and doesn't appear on the map. They charge fees and contactless doesn't work, only physical card.
