Tried Poulet Rouge after hearing a lot of hype and honestly it was just okay. The cheese was probably the highlight of the bowl, nice and melted. The fries though were a bit disappointing, kind of unseasoned and soggy by the time I got them. The gravy leans more toward a sweet Swiss Chalet-style sauce rather than a rich, meaty gravy. If that’s your thing you’ll probably enjoy it, but I personally prefer something more beefy and savoury. They don’t skimp on it either which is nice. The chicken itself was fine, nothing special. A quick stop for lunch at this location and pleasantly surprised! The first thing that struck me is that the place is very busy, Lots of local stopping by for lunch so this is a good sign.
