In my top 5 favourite restaurants but not anymore. I haven’t been since new owners and it’s a disappointment. 85 minutes to be served our food. Portion sizes are down 25% at least. I have before and after photos to prove it. The first picture is the salad appetizer?? Huh? The Jager Schnitzel took up only 60% of the plate size and my favourite dish, the one with smoked salmon, is at least 25% less food for more money. Sad to see this restaurant drop in quality and go up in price. Really sad about this but it’s a fact I must accept.

We waited over 40 minutes. We ordered the Jager schnitzel and the Zigeuner schnitzel. Each come with soup or salad. The soup was okay but super heavy. The salad was actually the best thing we had all night. The dressing was so yum and the potatoes were amazing! Get the salad, not the soup. The schnitzels were disappointing. Both were soggy, having sat in the sauce for too long. The pork was perfectly cooked though. The spatzle was delicious and the perfect texture but it was room temperature! Amazing food. Worth the stop. They have a hidden patio at the back. The history and atmosphere of this place is a wonder. One of the best meals. Their bread dumplings, spaetzle, and minestrone soup is definitely worth it!

Absolutely loved our dinner here! The schnitzels are delicious and so filling, the ambiance is lovely, and service is excellent (huge shoutout to Ricky)! Definitely my family's favourite restaurant in Kingston. Always a super tasty and filling meal at Amadeus… highly, highly recommended!!
