My friend and I were looking for spicy food for dinner near where I worked for the next few days and we chose this place. The place turned out to be surprisingly big and spacious inside. They also had patio/outdoor dining area outside. Big tables - perfect for my big belly in my third trimester back in May. It was also clean. Once More is hands-down one of my favorite finds in Richmond. Everything we tried had solid, well-balanced flavor—especially those green beans, simple yet unforgettable. The fried pork was a real highlight: lightly battered, perfectly crispy, with a tangy-sweet sauce that made every bite pop. It’s rare to find dishes so straightforward yet so satisfying. On top of that—cozy ambiance, staff that clearly cares, and portions that won’t leave you wanting more. Five stars!

This was honestly the worst Chinese food I’ve had in Vancouver. The steamed scallops with garlic (蒜蓉蒸扇贝) used glass noodles that were completely overcooked—not the usual vermicelli—and the texture was really unpleasant. The scallops themselves were under-seasoned, no soy sauce at all, and very small. The sweet and sour pork (溜肉段) was dry, the batter was off, and worst of all, the meat had a strong unpleasant smell… almost like it had gone bad. On top of that, it was excessively salty.
