Today was a somewhat confusing experience. Upon arrival, parties of two were seated at less desirable tables, seemingly to keep larger tables available for groups of four or six. Those larger groups never appeared, leaving a significant part of the restaurant unused. The €19 set menu felt a bit like a bait-and-switch. Most of the dishes came with a surcharge, making the actual selection much more limited than the menu initially suggested. The pâté was served in a tin and, unfortunately, its presentation reminded me of cat food. That may sound harsh, but it was honestly my first impression.

We had a wonderful evening meal at this restaurant. The food was delicious. Each dish we ate had a little twist that elevated it. Our waiter (the manager?) was attentive and helpful all evening. It all seemed pretty good value. Highly recommended!

The sauce with the french fries we had was spectacular and the appetizer fried chicken was also pretty good. However, we felt underwhelmed by the main courses, the pasta and the mussels both had a lot of potential but just wasn't quite there. One of the very few times I was a little disappointed in the food here in Bordeaux. When we have a plate of mussels we don't expect to have half of them pretty much closed completely or very much closed so that we have to pry it open and break the shells in the process. Meh.

Good place for a very casual dinner/drink. The waiter was great - he advised me that I may not like the dish I was going to have (Andouillette) and helped me with another. Fantastic service!
