Excellent value for money - the portions are large and the food is what you expect for the price. The Cafe Gourmand dessert was delicious. The staff were welcoming and efficient. Two negatives - there was a strong draft we could feel from the front door. It was very cold at times. The beef bourguignon was slightly bland. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the negative reviews. The price and quality are not aligned at all. Some of the items were more expensive than the same one available in Paris! The onion soup was thin, barely any cheese, and a very small portion. I certainly expected better for the price. The beef bourguignon was a pathetic little thing. All together everything lacked flavor and quality which would be fine if the prices were lower! It was 6,5€ for the soup and 13,5€ for the beef so 20€ for myself not including what my partner ordered. I think my money would have been better spent on a kebab.

We found the food very tasty. The prices also seemed good - not a cheap place but you do get a fine meal size for what you pay. The waiter was very friendly but I found him a little too pushy. He ignored me multiple times when I said I had already tried X or Y. He spoke good English, though, so that's very useful for non-French speaking travellers. He also substituted the pasta (coquilletes) in boeuf bourguignon for mashed potatoes without asking if we wanted that, which is a pretty bizarre thing to do IMO. I would be really unhappy if I had ordered it. But anyway, these are small details. The
