After searching high and low for a restaurant that serves octopus ever since we arrived in France. Paris, Colmar, Avignon and St Tropez, my girlfriend researched and found this restaurant, Côte Marché in Cannes. Wow! This place did not disappoint. The food here was nothing short of Amazing. The service was extremely warm and welcoming. I only gave it a five star because it didn’t have a more than five star option. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

Despite the high ratings, our experience was disappointing. Service felt incredibly rushed—the waiter was yelling back to the kitchen while taking our order and walked away without a word. Because of the communication barrier, the menu wasn't explained properly, and my octopus arrived fried (which wasn't mentioned and I don't eat fried food). To make matters worse, the fried food wasn't great, and I noticed a waiter picking up fries that had fallen onto the counter and putting them back onto a customer's plate. Sadly, would not recommend.

We have spent 5 days in Cannes and have had lunch at côté marché 3 times - because it was just perfect! If we would have stayed any time longer, we would have definitely revisited the restaurant. We’ve ordered different meals each time, everything was served on point. The service was great, the bathroom was clean - we felt welcome as customers, every time. Depending on the time you want to eat, it can happen that you have to wait for a few minutes - but don’t be mad, it is worth it.
