Long lunch on the back terrace at Piedra and the food mostly soared. The starters were the high point — inventive, beautifully plated, the kind of cooking that has you reaching across the table to steal a forkful. Real point of view, no filler. Mains were good: well executed, generous, nothing to complain about, just a notch more conventional after that opening. A small dip in the arc rather than a misstep. Everything was great from a very friendly service to the delicious dishes! Portions were generous (that comes from two people who eat a lot haha) and we were even able to share the dessert at the end. Their riz au lait with a homemade granola was perfect while the savoury dishes had special touches such as the pesto and dried tomato’s that accompanies the duck, and the shitake on one of the appetisers. Another highlight is that they have some great non alcoholic options like kimbuchas which were great. Can’t wait to go back soon.
