I stopped at this delightful coffee shop while I recharged from a wonderful walk and waited for the botanical garden to open. Located in a charming spot, the owner was extremely attentive, polite and helped me with understanding the French which is not my first language. If you’re around this area and plan on visiting the Botanical Garden that is just a few feet away from this charming coffee shop, I highly recommend stopping by.

Our last night in Montpellier we "stumbled" on Le Petit Moulu. We are so glad we did. We sat outside and my wife and I both felt that we had the perfect "French cafe experience". The hot chocolate, cherry crumble and chocolate lava torte(?) were delicious. The young gentleman inside was really sweet, helpful and friendly. We are here visiting so we didn't really need any of the teas or coffees they offered but the selection seemed pretty extensive. So, whether you need tea and/or coffee or a really good dessert and hot drink, Le Petit Moulu is a GREAT choice.

The owner there really makes this place special. Not only is the interior of this store super nice, clean and beautiful, their coffee selection great and in a great location, but stepping foot into this place you get treated as a friend. The owner was sincere and genuinely a pleasure to talk to, giving tips on where to check out in the city and up for a good chat while still running the operations in the shop. Highly recommend going here and striking up a conversation with him!!
