A lovely summer evening at La Barge. We ate at La Barge tonight and had duck breast, cheeseburgers, and the local Troyes sausage. The food was very good, and the service was excellent from start to finish. They also kindly made a specially adapted burger for our autistic daughter, which we really appreciated. The atmosphere was especially cozy. We sat outside by the beautiful water with fountains, slightly away from the busiest part of the city center, which made it feel calmer and more relaxed. Lovely location on the river just outside the centre. Worth reserving a table if you'd like to dine outside. Menu for children went down well with the kids, beef, fish or chicken options followed by ice cream. Good selection of traditional French cuisine on offer and prices for set menus were good. Staff were friendly although quite busy so sometimes service was slow.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The service was great and the food was excellent. The prix fixe and regular menus were great. The Chaource burger was one of the best I've ever had. People arriving at 1330 were seated.
