We had an incredible night at Nikos! The place is really popular and we were lucky enough to get a table with a short notice booking request. The food is amazing.. authentic hearty greek food. We had some mezze and main dishes and it was all incredible. They don’t have a set menu but that makes it such a great dining experience. We were also very appreciative of their efforts to explain everything in such detail in English as we don’t speak German. Everyone was really friendly and attentive. The place itself is small but has so much charm. Highly recommend!

What a great meals! The lovely small restaurant is located in the heart of the old city of Augsburg. It's super cosy and besides the main dining room with few tablea and the bar, they have a small inner courtyard and some tables on the pedestrian street next to the river.. A hidden but also well known gem. Nikos is an institution in Augsburg and different from the normal Greek restaurants you might know. There is no food menu, they tell you what they cooled today and it can change everytime. Normally you start with some Greek tapas, which were really good. We had tzaziki, fishcream, spicysausages, filled wine leaves, mushrooms and bread. As main we had the filles pepper, the prawns in ouzo and garlic, the lamb sticks and the chicken with veggies in bread paper. Everything was super fresh and delicious. Excellent Greek food, great ambiance and even better service by the owners themselves. There is no menu, you typically get an entrance with 6 different small portions as you can see in the first picture, those are really tasty. Then they offer you a selection of different main courses (4 or 5 options) and later a dessert. Price-value is excellent, I ended up paying 36 Euros for two only sharing the dessert. In summary, really recommended, one of the 5 top places in Augsburg to eat.
