An interesting restaurant located on a discreet side street in the Mitte district. The all wood interior with wine bottles on open display added a rustic flavour to the overall atmosphere. I hadn't booked but timed my early evening visit well as the place very gradually began to fill up. The welcome was warm and friendly and the service remained unobtrusive throughout the visit. An interesting menu, but for me the roast pork, dumplings and saurkraut was just what I was looking for. Well presented and superbly well cooked. I absolutely love this place! On my third time here I had dinner with my mother. She ordered the Spätzle, I had the Ox cheek in red wine, and we shared Kaizerschmarren for desert with some plum liqueur. The service was excellent and friendly, the atmosphere was perfect, and the food was superb. They also have a very good wine menu. We will definitely be back again!

We dined with a reservation. schnitzel and great, liver was a bit raw, deseert was definitely the highlight. Also has great German wine selection. There are however a few issues given the price point. When we arrived, we were initially told we would be seated outside. This had not been communicated at the time of booking. If outdoor seating is the only option for reservations, that should be clearly confirmed in advance. We were eventually seated indoors at a high-stool table, which wasn’t particularly comfortable.
