I had a good experience! The food was delicious and nicely presented — you can tell they pay attention to both taste and design. The atmosphere was also pleasant and relaxed. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which really added to the experience. The only downside was that the service was a bit slow. Still, the quality of the food and the friendly team made up for it. I’d definitely come back again!

ALEX is one of my favorite places for breakfast. I had a beautiful European breakfast feast here in December, and it was such a memorable experience. Their morning menu offers plenty of choices, from fresh bakery items and buttery croissants to sausages, eggs, and other delicious breakfast classics. Everything was fresh, hearty, and comforting. I always enjoy coming back for the warm atmosphere and a wonderful start to the day.

I stumbled upon the Sunday brunch, an all you desire buffet, and I give it 5*. Choice and quality are great, prices are fair. ALEX is a large bar / grand cafe with rather classical styling. It would fit well in any larger town or city, if it wouldn't be for the framed yellow and black football jersey that reminds you that this is Dortmund. Sundays, it transforms into brunch heaven. I could have stayed much longer in this relaxed yet industrious atmosphere with light jazz in the background, if time would have allowed.

We had a wonderful time. We went there for the all you can eat breakfast and were very positively surprised by everything. The food, both sweet and savory was very delicious. The items were constantly refilled by the servers so everything was kept hot. We particularly loved the potatoes and the bacon, but everything was great. Our biggest issue was not having a bigger stomach to eat more. The service was fantastic. Our server Martin C. was very helpful. We will gladly return.
