The notion of "Alpentapas" is a little odd (and dare I say it, conceptually somewhat annoying), but the food was absolutely nothing to complain about. I'm not convinced the sesame brussel sprouts go with anything else on the menu, but they were very nice by themselves. My leberkaes was very generous, and as comforting as I'd expect of it.

A really good, independent cafe serving generous portions of healthy food inspired by the Alps. The service was excellent, very friendly, informative and attentive. All our plates were emptied despite the large portion sizes. The home-made lemonade and other juices were particularly well received.

The place is called Alpenkantine, and indeed their Apfelstrudel tastes like the one on the slopes somewhere in Alps. The lunch options look very delicious, but haven't tried them yet. Will be back here again, in case around!

Favorite schnitzel place in Eimsbüttel. Schnitzel is available with a side of delicious fried potatoes and a small refreshing salad that comes in a jar. Good quality food, friendly service. The outdoor seating is plenty but it’s facing the busy Osterstrasse so the traffic gets a bit noisy at times.
