Update: this restaurant tried to remove my legitimate review by claiming "defamation", because German courts have set a low threshold for businesses to challenge reviews as defamatory, for example, they have no record of a transaction. I sent Google a copy of the receipt and Google has reinstated my review. Google now displays a notice on Business Profiles (under the Review tab) when reviews are removed. This restaurant had 21 to 50 reviews removed due to defamation complaints in the last 365 days alone. This is how they get 4.9 stars! The boss was nice and asked us to write a good review - I

It's always very delicious. Dining in and ordering is both great. The food is always fresh and very tasty. We already tried several dishes and they were all extremely good. When ordering the delivery is very fast, the food is hot, and you get a really good portion of food. The pita bread and the rice is always fresh too. Also the house salad is very good, the perfect balance of flavors. Thank you for the pita bread the last time we ordered!! :) The people are extremely nice! Best Indian food in Flensburg!!

I'm in no way very familiar with Indian cuisine but I really liked my dinner at Shalimar. I had Mixed Tandoori with chicken and a surprisingly large amount of shrimps. The meal was spicy as ordered and washed down with a mango lassi and a mango schnaps. Total 25 Euros and well worth it. Nice and friendly service in a simple decor makes me give the place a very solid 4 stars.
