This place was recommended by a local and it shows. It's a hidden gem that's off the beaten path that is the Freiburg Altstadt. We came for an early dinner and I was hungry so I got the gnocchi as well as a margherita pizza and my date ordered the Bolognese. I'm frequently let down by gnocchi at restaurants but I actually enjoyed it here. I wish the pizza had a little more going on, but that's on me for getting the margherita when they have several other more "loaded" options on the menu. My date also really liked her Bolognese. Love this place. Best Italian Restaurant in Freiburg. Even if it is not on the menu they can make any kind of Pasta if you ask. I highly recommend the Pescatore. The Tiramisu is a must. If you think you are full and can't eat more, look what happens when you taste the first bite of the Tiramisu. Really worth going every week. They take cards and you need to book a table before you go.

Pasta is delicious and original. Pizza is okay but we felt not very balanced. What's more frustrating were the environment (indoor) and waiting time. Some of the tables are just beside the shelf of the supermarket and very small. Like ours is beside the bread shelf, we felt really uncomfortable when other customers shopped beside closely and just took things from the shelf above our heads. Excellent food .real Neapolitan style pizzas. It was wonderful. Perhaps a little on the high price side but everything is made in-house and that kind of quality costs money. The pasta was a little undercooked but I believe that’s how the Italians like it so I guess it was perfect? It’s a supermarket in the day and serves as a restaurant in the night.
