Honestly one of the best in Fulda. Extensive wine list, friendly owner, consistently good food. A frequently updated a specials menu which keeps things interesting, apart from the standard menu. Glad it’s open again 🤗

The food was very good, but the service was unfortunately very slow. We had to wait a long time at our table just to receive the menu, and the food took quite a while to arrive as well. We shared the spaghetti with Grana Padano, the gnocchi, and the Feldsalat, all of which were delicious. For dessert, the lava cake was excellent, but the pistachio ice cream was not to my taste, as I could taste the extract.

We had a nice evening at Dachsbau Fulda. The starters were very good, the steak was excellent, and the wine was also great! Unfortunately, the sea bass was disappointing — too dry, and the spinach was overcooked and quite bitter. When we arrived around 5:30 pm, the restaurant was almost empty, yet we were seated right at the entrance where it was quite drafty (we were a group of three). We were told that all larger tables were reserved, but after asking twice, we finally got another table. Interestingly, our first table remained empty until we left. That could definitely be handled better. A

Dining by the Caliskan family, father's and son's restaurants, are always a dining pleasure. Be it by Mediterran, or Dachsbau, the aura of fine dining is ever present. This time, by Dachsbau, my wife and I enjoyed a special dining experience, in the way of Denis' Mixed Seafood Platter, for two. Grilled fish, octopus, shrimp, and other seafood pleasures, not to mention the salad, vegetables, and potatoes, were exquisite.
