The cakes are what you typically expect to find in a mid sized town in East Germany - a lot of industrial cream, processed nuts, miserly amounts of raw materials such as chocolate etc. The pieces of apple in the cakes hail from a jar or can. The coffees are as if you are teleported back to the 1980's but seeing the majority of customers are in their seventies and eighties it is not surprising. Perhaps in ten or fifteen years where there are a lot less of the above mentioned demographic some much needed changes will be implemented but I will probably be sitting on the beach in Thailand sippi

The café has a very dark and gloomy atmosphere. They offer hot meals as well as cakes, waffles, and ice cream. There's also the usual selection of hot and cold drinks. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the ice cream. It just wasn't to my taste. The poppy seed cake, however, was decent.
