Great place for authentic Thüringische food not on the menu at other places. Staff were very friendly. Food was excellent. Elegantly decorated interior, also outdoor seating available. I came early and there was nobody there, but it did start to fill up, so you may want reservations if you come a little later.

It's newly reopened with a very smart refurb. All modernised but still keeping a very 'oaken' look. Food was fantastic and felt very special. Good value for money. Would recommend. It was a Monday night so we just walked in, but I imagine it could get busy towards weekend and high season.

Very nice atmosphere in one of the oldest restaurants in leipzig . We don't eat pork - had the chicken and fish dishes and they were the best meals we had in one our one week stay in Germany . The dessert was incredible - try the apricot dish ! Glad we gave this place a chance !
