The best currywurst I've had in Velbert so far. The fries are incredibly crispy. The sauce, with its many different spice levels, is very, very good. The sausage could be a bit bigger. The two employees seemed to be arguing, which affected the service. In my opinion, the customer shouldn't be so aware of their bad temper. But the food is 10 out of 10. Excellent value for money.

My wife and I had our first currywurst and fries at BÖCKELS Beste in Velbert, next to the OBI hardware store, on Saturday, May 16, 2026, around 6:45 p.m. And it was one of the best currywurst and fries we've ever had. Despite the late hour on a Saturday, the currywurst was absolutely delicious and fresh, with a soft skin and the filling was very fluffy. Absolutely fantastic! The fries were also very good and perfectly fried. From now on, we'll be eating currywurst and fries there regularly. We'd give the employee six stars if we could.
