Baluchi Restaurant - The Lalit - New Delhi - India As you walk into this venue you are greeted & invited into this gorgeous space. The staff are amasing & my server Kajal was a pure pleasure, knew exactly what she was doing & suggested the most tasty of dishes, thank you. The food was authentic Indian cuisine at it's very best and I have had my fair share of Indian cuisine. To the chef congratulations on excecuting the most tasty Indian meal I have had in years. While all of this was happening the restaurant manager Wasim didn't skip a beat, checking the patrons & managing the staff, well done. Pathetic restaurant. Walked with my family. There was broken glass on table to start. Ordered food but after waiting 1 hour and post three reminders, they did not serve food, forced we had to leave as kids were hungry. Really terrible experience would never visit again Herr or at any Lalit property. Suggest going to other restaurants. They did not even bother to call and apologize.....

The best part of a blogger life is that they get insight into the chef's vision. Yesterday was the same. It was an absolute pleasure to meet Executive Chef Ashish Sanyal, who has flown from banglore to showcase the indian food in a modern way keeping the favours intact. Some interesting twists that worked really well. Scallop paturi was the star dish. It was an afternoon full of knowledge sharing, wisdom and great insight into restaurant industry. He for sure is someone we should look upto. An inspiration for the young generation who are getting into food industry. Festival is on till 22nd and don't miss the food and chat with chef. He has very interesting stories to share. Oh and not to forget the lamb chop with lemon rice aranchini - I will not tell you about the sauce because that's the secret. You should go and figure it out. PS - Don't miss lehsun ( garlic) ki kheer and pan barfi.
