A truly lovely place. The atmosphere is magical. These are exactly the kind of places Jerusalem needs, and there are far too few of them. The service was above and beyond. It genuinely felt like being hosted in someone’s home. The food was exactly what you want next to a drink, done with real professionalism, and honestly one of the best meals we’ve had. I say this as someone who lived in Jerusalem for four years. Well done. Truly impressive.

We had a magical dinner at Barood. Cocktails were on point - especially the delicious fresh made bourbon sour. We asked for recommendations and they did not disappoint! Also, the cozy cafe was great for conversation - not too loud! Our favorites: cauliflower with tahini, small meat pies (we saw them being rolled and freshly made)!, lamb shank and ox tail. Oh and the dessert was divine - a rice pudding and fresh Greek yogurt with Quince jam. Chef’s kiss! Definite recommend!

I looked for shrimps on Jaffa street and found this magnificent place. Hidden in the inner garden, a small and cosy place. Would recommend to anyone visiting Jerusalem and looking for an authentic place. NOTE that on the first Tuesday of every month they play live music there! Good food, great service, lovely atmosphere.

8.26.17 - located in the courtyard of a building off of Yafo Street. It's a cute spot with fresh food. We ordered the kras because it had just come out of the oven. The service is not bad, but slightly slow. It's a little pricey, but it's open on Shabbat. They accept credit card and it seems popular with tourists and locals.
