I don't using like Bars or restaurants in main Piazzas,but this one did come with so much history and was very pleasant. We visited for few times as it was steps away from our apartment. We had aperitivo outside, with lovely thick blankets as it was February. And a drink inside the following day. Lovely old bar. We bought two of the Espresso cups to take back too.

We stopped for a coffee on the shaded terrace on the Piazza Vecchia, surrounded by its beautiful historic buildings. The service was quick and friendly. Although we only had coffee, the light dishes and snacks served to the tables around us looked very appetising.

Amazing service and atmosphere! A musician was playing in the square while we were having our late lunch at Caffe del Tasso, adding to the experience. And turns out the cafe is celebrating 550 years this year! The Bergamo 3 traditional dishes taster was yummy as was the coffee and Torta Donizetti we had in addition.
