Came in because this was one of the few places that offered walk-ins for Sunday lunch. The staffs were bilingual and the menu also changes seasonally. They serve more creative cuisine from local produce but also cook up a few delicious traditional dishes on rotation. Tasted the rosette al forno which was delicious, it was a lasagna but coiled into the shape of a rose and stuffed with parmigiano and prosciutto with some bechamel sauce, really delicious. A cute local restaurant in the heart of the old town of Modena. I had the traditional tagliatelle and they were as expected. The portion was a bit small but i guess that’s what you can expect in a fancy restaurant. I got some nice bread with the order which seemed fresh and fluffy. I enjoyed it too. They have a vast vine selection. Sadly i didn’t try any. Would go again to try more of their local dishes!

While the ambiance of this restaurant is appealing, I found the portion sizes to be rather small given the prices. I appreciate its central location, but the food did not impress me. For instance, I've had more flavorful gnocchi fritti and tortellini in brodo elsewhere. The steak I ordered as my main course also fell short of expectations. Overall, my experience was decent, but I have certainly dined at better establishments that offer higher quality dishes.
