Recommended by our AirBnb host and could not fault. Thought we would head there for a pre dinner drink but before we knew it the staff provided at no cost their signature arancini, savoury eggplant brioche and spinnato. With the perfect weather, friendly local atmosphere and great wine just could not leave. To finish the night a takeaway plate of delectable sweets purchased for a late night snack. Thanks team Sampolo. A great second night visiting Palermo.

It was difficult to decide what ratings to give this cafe, because the things we had were extraordinary (‘granita’, coffee-flavor with whipped cream and ‘brioche’, ‘cremino’, pancake, etc). The waiter was very nice with us. The only negative thing was that we paid 22 euros for three people, which is too much for breakfast. The interior is elegant & old-style, the dining area is outside on the pavement covered with a tent. Worth the try, but maybe without ‘table service’.
