We had an amazing four-course lunch at 45 Degrees Kitchen - this is now my favourite restaurant in Nairobi! Each course was very tasty, made with fresh ingredients, and well presented. The restaurant has a charming, rustic, non-pretentious vibe. And the staff are friendly. Overall, very good value for money. If you like good food, you will not be disappointed. The location can be a challenge to find for some but the restaurant rewards you with an amazing ambiance that only gets better as the evening progresses and the sun goes down. The starter, a crab salad, turned out to be the height of the meal. If only the other dishes could have been equally great.. My roasted duck was just ok. Not bad, but not up to the expectations or the price. From the taste, I would guess it had overstayed in the freezer. My wife had ordered a prime rib, which was such a disappointment, she had to send it back. Dry and tasteless.
