julie leong★★★★★One of the comfort restaurant in ipoh where the standard being maintains consistent. Their signature is “char Siew” but we opted for cockles, fried chicken with shrimp paste taste good but the claypot crab vermicelli a bit dry. Steamed fish teow chew just nice.salted calamari freshn & chewy nicely done
J-Ho S. C.★★★★Wow! Very full. Very good taste. Found it in map actually, never expect the taste is good. Highly recommended : cha Siew Deep Fry Pork Omelette Prawn Paku Pakis (cool vege) Just.. Bit spoilt on Cha Siew.. The smell of pork is still there.. Mayb long weekend, preparation not done well. One more.. Please take care of your cleanliness. Floor quite dirty.. Toilet also...
CH NG★★★★★A hidden gem in Ipoh with an unconventional decor styles like a British pub..but serving the best Chinese fare. Char siew is a must have.(they even vacuum pack for you for tabao if you let them know ahead). I love their succulent claws in the fried kway teow noodles full of wok hey. Their salad is very very refreshing and a must have!
chefquak★★★★went to @The Museum for 4pax dinner ordered their signature dishes- salad - refreshing, good 👍 拖地叉烧 char siew - this underwhelming, outside charred good flavours but tough, inside too fatty, nothing great teochew raw cockles - ok lala - big and juicy and sweet, gravy/soup good too. fishballs- a common dish here, good standard. KL hokkien noodles “dailokmeen” ok RM205.20 ok la 26.3.2026
Ts. Chin★★★★1st time visit. Recommended by local and sosial media. Most famous Chinese food in ipoh area. The restaurant decoration also very nice. Just a bit crowded, because of lunch hours. Food taste good, i really like it, will recommend to my friends... Can come again next trip. Hope can maintain the reputation. Keep it up. Ps: Please increase your cleanliness in the toilet. This deduction of 1 star.
Yong Ks★★★★Crowded at dinner time, need booking. The char siu was soft and tasty 8.5/10 (but the burnt part is bitter and unhealthy), stewed beef 8/10 (lack of salt), clam 8/10, stewed lamb 8.5/10, sweet sour pork 7/10, curry fish head 8.5/10, salted egg bean 6/10 (lack of saltiness), the fried hot fun and fat noodle both very sub-standard (5/10) due to lack or taste and salt, but the cockles were big and juicy. The chef really needs retraining from the humble Ipoh hawkers for the fried noodles.
Boon Han★★★★★Reached just before lunch opening, always great to be the first customers. The dishes came out fast haha. The restaurant has a nice vibe to it, with a nice bar like decor but serves very delicious Chinese cooking. Service was amazing. Ordered a few dishes. Must order the famous charsiew. Juicy sweet delicious and melts in your mouth. One of the best, if not the best I ever tasted. The cousin siewyok also up to par. Crunchy skin with a well balanced fat and meat. Balancing up to its umaminess. Paku is another must order. I tried the belacan version and was a delight. Next round will be the salad version. Prawn omelette was great 👍🏻. Seeing the many reviews, I decided to order the tofu. One thing obvious, it was huge. But just a standard tofu dish. Perhaps some dried prawns will enhance its tastes If you don’t drop by often to Ipoh, order something else to enjoy your meal thoroughly. Overall I will definitely come back and attempt other dishes. A special mention, choose the garlic rice
