One of the oldest pub in town. Running by the same lady boss and friendly lady bartender. Located at the end of the street with big wooden door. Once opened the wooden door, you will discover an old British pub settings with the usual bar counter and comfortable seats. Opens everyday at 4pm and close early on weekdays. Weekends serving till midnight.

It has been 15 years or more since I was in Berts Keller and it hasn't changed one bit, it is still the same traditional looking British Pub or is it meant to be a German Beirkeller? Anyway nothing has changed, I knew Berts Keller and Bert when he started out in Holiday Plaza with a little corner bar which was open to the mall and tapered inwards to the back, we nicknamed it The Wedge. At one time I was a regular, we would meet in the Wedge on a Saturday afternoon after a half shift at Pasir Gugang yard. So a gang of eight of us had a pre new year drink up on the eve of New Years Eve and what a night we had. Bert's doesn't do full course dinners anymore, there is a sort of snack menu but Theresa did not mind at all that we ordered from the local restaurant next door or from the rival Bierhaus across the street. Well oiled we finished the night with karaoke. Snack Menu: Fried Bee Hoon, Chicken Wings, Chicken Chop, Ikan Bilis, Sausage & Onion, French Fries & Jemput Jemput.

This pub is like "Cheers", the American comedy series set in the city of Boston, in the eighties. "Where everybody knows your name." This is how I would associate Bert's Keller of Johor Bahru, to Cheers and whereby it is also the oldest pub in this city.
