The food here is AMAZING. We had green curry chicken, fermented pork, crab omelette, tom yum, and crab rice. All of them were insanely good. Every staff member was also very warm and attentive. Shout out to Dimple, the manager. She was very hands-on and provided us the best possible dining experience. This place is 100/10. I will definitely come back!

An upscale Thai dining experience inside Shangri-La The Fort 🇹🇭✨ We visited Sabai, a modern Thai restaurant known for its elegant ambiance and elevated take on classic Thai cuisine. The atmosphere definitely impressed but with premium pricing, the big question was whether the food could truly match the experience. If you're looking for upscale Thai food in Manila, this spot is one of the more talked-about dining experiences inside Shangri-La. We finally got to try Sabai Restaurant in BGC, and it’s definitely worth recommending. One thing we really appreciated was their dedicated vegetarian menu. It made such a difference for our vegan/vegetarian friend, she didn’t feel like the options were just an afterthought. Everything on that menu felt intentional and well thought out, which made it easy for her to choose without feeling left out. For our table, we ordered the grilled pork jowl (kor moo yang), green curry chicken, and mango sticky rice and honestly, everything was so good. Our vegetarian friend had the jackfruit red curry with khao pad rod fai, which was surprisingly generous in portion and really flavorful. The ambiance is modern and clean, with subtle Thai touches. Even the restroom stood out, with old Thai movie posters as wallpaper. The space is spacious, with lots of options on the menu from fried to grilled and they also have private rooms for groups or parties. The staff were warm and welcoming, which made

Located @ Shang-rila Hotel, from what I heard from peers, the chef is Michelin-trained. We booked a Saturday lunch and opted for their ala carte. In my mind, I wanted a hearty meal. Upon entering the premises, we were greeted by a manager (he came from Thailand). The atmosphere is a mixture of casual and upscale dining. The servers were very observant and not intimidating. Okay now, we go to the meals we ordered. To be honest, initially, I thought the servings won’t satisfy our bellies. I realized that the ala carte menu resembles those served in tasting menu. Every bite, my palate was satisfied and it was during dessert that I experienced satiety. Dishes we selected: 2 small plates: crispy mushroom with Thai herbs and DIY-style bites with smoky grilled prawns w/ a medley of Thai condiments. Soup: tom yum kung (prawns, lemon grass, chili, galangal, and kaffir lime leaf Grill: grilled pork jowl with a spicy Isaan dipping (tip: if you are a heavy eater, better order two. It is orig

We had such an amazing experience at Sabai! The ambiance alone already sets the tone—it’s incredibly elegant and stylish, making the whole dining experience feel extra special from the moment you walk in. Kenneth, our server, was absolutely outstanding. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he explained everything with so much clarity and enthusiasm—it really made a difference since it was our first visit and our first time trying authentic Thai cuisine. He didn’t just recommend dishes at random; he carefully suggested customer favorites while thoughtfully considering that I was dining with an elderly companion who had dietary restrictions. That level of attentiveness meant a lot to us. He even shared how the dishes were prepared, which made the whole experience feel more personal and immersive. The manager was just as wonderful—very attentive, approachable, and genuinely caring. You could really feel that they prioritize their guests’ comfort and satisfaction. One of our a

We had a wonderful dining experience with a great ambiance and excellent Thai food. The flavors were authentic, especially for those who love spicy dishes. The service was fast, and the staff were very accommodating. April and Hanna were especially attentive to our needs and made our visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely come back again. Thank you!
