After looking from the outside in when walking past I have wanted to try here. I have to mention the food. The steak tater is the best I have had anywhere in the world. So that’s quite a recommendation. The spaghetti was perfect even better than in Italy. Now to the staff. They are all lovely. Funny. Professional. The atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming! The staff were incredibly friendly, and it honestly felt like being at a close friend’s home — I could see the chef cooking, chatting with the team, and the whole vibe was just lovely. If I had one small suggestion, it would be about the Carbonara. I totally get the small-plate concept, but mixing the sauce on such a little plate was a bit tricky (as you can probably tell from the video, my food had other plans and decided to escape 😅). We had such a great experience at Calma Calma. We arrived without a reservation and they still welcomed us so warmly and found us a table right away. The service was excellent from start to finish attentive, friendly, and genuinely caring. The food was absolutely delicious, but the real highlight for me was the duck ragù the best I’ve ever had.
