If you want a local experience in Setubal, I can't recommend this place enough. Don't expect anything fancy, just true, genuine, local cooking and serving! Food was tasty, wine was great as well, and if you have some basic intercultural skills, people will understand you, if you don't speak Portuguese 😀

Taberna da Eduarda came highly recommended by friends in Setubal and have eaten here now on a couple of occasions. It's a local place, with a wonderful atmosphere from the moment you see the fish on the coals and the owners are very friendly. The dourada is the best I have ever tried in my life and for desert the bolo de bolacha is incredible, so delicious!!
