Extremely disappointing sushi experience. Considering the very high prices and the reputation of this restaurant, I expected premium-quality sushi. Instead, I was served some of the worst nigiri I've had in a long time. The nigiri were completely out of balance. They were packed with an excessive amount of rice that was compressed so tightly it felt like eating hard rice balls rather than properly shaped sushi. On top of that, the fish portions were ridiculously thin. The salmon and tuna were sliced so sparingly that the rice completely overwhelmed every bite. Even worse, the quality of the fish itself was very disappointing. Neither the salmon nor the tuna tasted fresh or flavorful, especially considering the premium price charged for each piece. These nigiri looked nothing like what you would expect from a serious sushi restaurant. The rolls were only average at best. They weren't terrible, but they were the kind of sushi you would expect from a cheap takeaway, not from an expensive

Wow, an amazing restaurant in Belgrade! We knew we will eat great food here but the Angry Monk was definitely the highlight. Everything we tried was super fresh and the Beef Ramen was exceptional, the starter dishes like the Giouza were out of this world and we will definitely come again as the service was also great (they even take your coat at the entrance) the owner also comes from the holy land (like me) which is a huge plus by itself, we didn't know that but found out when the waiter told us! This restaurant will always be on our list during future trips to Belgrade.

Update ‼️ For anyone who may have read my previous review, the happy hour policy has changed and is now from 16:00 to 18:00. Once again, the food was delicious. We ordered the Drunken Noodles with beef, which was incredibly tender, the Tom Kha Goong (Thai coconut soup with rice noodles, slightly sweet and tangy), and the Brûlée in Bloom with vanilla and crispy phyllo, along with tea. I didn’t expect anything less, and I can already tell this will be my favorite spot every time I find myself in Belgrade. Our waitress, Jovana, was informative and very helpful, which made the experience even better. Old review: The place is beautiful, spotless, and perfect for a romantic date if you’re looking to impress. A lovely surprise was that from 12:00 to 16:00, you get a free starter and cold tea with your main dish. The Beef Ramen was delicious, and the Chicken Gyoza and Sweet and Sour Chicken, with a spicy kick, were great starters. We loved the Angry Monk Tea, super refreshing.
