Incredible experience at Aitor Esnal in Logroño. Incredible fusion of Basque / Spanish / Asian flavors. Top service from the main waiter, the wonderful sommelier and all the assisting staff. The chef was generous to check in with me personally as well which I appreciate. They accommodated me as a solo diner excellently which isn’t always the case at all restaurants. Some highlights (that I can remember…) The anchovy purée, the mackerel in tomato water cream sauce, chili crab, the tuna sorbet with papaya salad “notes” and probably the best mollejas I’ve had in my life.

A truly outstanding, memorable evening - one of the best meals of our life. We went for the Amari menu - it was exceptionally inventive, delicious, well-balanced and well-executed. We loved all the dishes but our highlight was the pickled tomatoes - a good example of the chef's skill and flair. The wine pairings were brilliant. The staff were wonderful - and we enjoyed being able to have a very good laugh despite our poor Spanish! We hope to return to Logroño - and to eat here again!
