Cafe wasn’t too busy, ordered a tea, cappuccino and one croissant. The café is table service and after 25 minutes, we still hadn’t received our order. Flagged down a waiter who went to check on our order and came back and looked for the receipt to check what we ordered. Another waitress came out then with our order about 10 minutes later apologising for the delay. We asked for some cold milk for the tea and she would get it… we never saw her again. One of the largest branches of the Lake Canasta chain, this café/bakery is a great place to stop by and get breakfast. They have a menu of lots of different sandwiches and smoothies and juices and toasts. What I got was very filling and tasty, the only ‘meh’ thing was the fruit juice, which was a little watery. The waiters were very Spanish: very friendly and with a sense of humour, but not lightning fast. I would definitely come back again. Two parts to this bakery, little shop out the front and walk down the lane there is a cafe part too. Nice selection of cakes and Breads and very friendly /helpful staff. Price very reasonable. Seems to be a locals favourite!
