Ombu Paseo del Borne is a great spot for tapas right in the heart of Palma de Mallorca. The atmosphere is lively and energetic, with music playing and tables placed quite close together, so it can get pretty loud. That said, the ambiance is still very enjoyable and has a vibrant, authentic tapas-bar feel. One of the things I liked most was the open kitchen, where you can watch the team preparing the dishes. It adds a nice touch and creates a sense of connection with the food. The real star of the experience is definitely the food. We tried several tapas, and almost everything was excellent.

Everything about this restaurant was absolutely perfect. The food was outstanding — each tapas dish had its own unique touch and incredible flavors. The service was equally excellent. Jason, our waiter, was very patient, took the time to explain every dish, and gave us great recommendations. He even helped us afterward with suggestions on where to spend the rest of our evening. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, and sitting on the terrace in the beautiful weather made the experience even better. The sangria was fresh and delicious, and even the fruit inside tasted amazing. Beautiful food and service. Every dish was delicious. We had the chicken and pistachio croquets, crispy squid, duck gyozas, bravas sobrasada and the crispy bread with tomato and everything was so delicious. Nichole, our wonderful server was just perfect, speaking beautiful English, friendly, attentive and made our visit even more special. Also we had reserved for 9pm but arrived hungry at 8pm and they managed to find us a table for two which was much appreciated. Definitely recommend.
